My name is Rabiia Ali and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have been practicing for four years, yet I have been in the mental health field for the past thirteen. I graduated with my Masters in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapist Concentration from the University of Phoenix. I received my Bachelors in African American Studies from UCLA. My specializations include trauma recovery using dialectical behavioral therapy with an integrated client-centered approach. I am where you are and the therapeutic experience is what you want, need and desire. My job is to assist you in reaching your treatment goals as a guide on your journey.
Therapy modalities I have experience with are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, Narrative Therapy and Exposure Therapy. I have experience working with clients diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), Bipolar I and II, Generalized Anxiety, Major Depressive Disorder, Dissociation, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder. I also have experience with clients who have needed Anger Management and Domestic Violence education and parents involved with Child Protective Services (CPS).
I have experience working with LGBTQIA clients. I have experience working with Muslim individuals, as well as individuals who follow the Wiccan and Pagan religious sects. I have experience working with clients from all ethnic, cultural and spiritual backgrounds.
