About this Service
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor based in the New Orleans area of Louisiana. I have been in Private Practice for four years counseling young adults, teens, and adults. My experience comes from providing mental health counseling for a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, grief/loss, PTSD, Bi-polar disorder, trauma, relationships and extensive work with military veterans. My therapy approach draws from the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which is a problem-specific, goal-oriented approach that needs the individual’s active involvement to succeed. It focuses on their present-day challenges, thoughts, and behaviors. I also utilize the Humanistic Approach, where
clients are treated in a manner that emphasizes their innate goodness and potential.
So if you’re feeling overwhelmed with worry, anxious and on-edge, or helpless and sad—you’re having a normal response to extraordinary circumstances. Life has thrown us all for a loop, and your nervous system is likely on high alert. Right now, many of us feel uncertain and stressed—and this lack of feeling safe can cause your mental health to suffer.
Whatever you’re experiencing, you need a safe space to feel it and someone who can feel it with you. I’m here to help you slow down and tune into your experience, and to help you voice the unspoken emotions and concerns that need to be voiced. I’m here to help you feel less alone in a time that has demanded isolation.
I may not have all the answers, but I’m here to support you through this. My goal is to develop a strong working alliance to facilitate authentic connection and support the process of transformation and personal growth.
