About this Service
I was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago. I received my undergraduate degree from Lake Forest College and my Master’s in Community Counseling from Texas Tech University. I have experience working with individuals in a clinic setting providing help for those struggling with mental illness, suicidal thoughts and drug/alcohol addiction. I understand the difficulties of everyday life and making the decision to seek help. I owned a private practice in Texas focused on individual and couples counseling and opened a virtual only practice after we moved. I offer individual, client focused sessions with those looking to make changes. Whether anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, divorce, decreased self-esteem, or stress has gotten you off track, we work together to get you back to feeling and living like your true self. I have an integrative therapy approach. The goal of each session is to focus on YOU and meeting, eventually exceeding, your individual needs. I see each client and know there is not a “one size fits” all model to therapy. My core therapy style is acceptance and commitment therapy. I believe therapy is a collaborative process and that we work together in a safe and secure setting, to help you find a more balanced life. We move toward your optimal functioning in mind, body, and spirit, and away from distress and dysfunction. We engage the mind, body and soul to encourage the three C’s: a complete, competent and confident sense of self!
