Work With Me!

About this Service

Hi and welcome to Better Help! My name is Jerri Sanders and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I graduated from the University of Louisville with a Masters of Science of Social Work with a focus on Mental Health in 2014. I have experience working with adults who struggle with mood disorders, substance abuse, psychotic disorders and personality disorders. I then made a career shift from working with adults to working with children. I was a therapist at the local children’s crisis unit, providing individual, group and family therapy to children and teens from the ages of 4-18. Currently I work with insurance, helping providers with behavioral health and substance abuse cases for medicaid. My focus with adults currently is women’s issues such as postpartum depression.

My approach in therapy is client focused, person-centered. I truly believe therapy is a team effort and I am there to help someone reach their own individual goals. I apply different modalities in therapy such as solution focused, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and narrative therapy. In every session I focus on empathy, active listening, and empowerment.

I enjoy helping women navigate motherhood. As a mom and a therapist, I truly believe every woman has an indescribable amount of strength within them and as a team, we will find that strength. Every individual deserves a therapist they feel comfortable with and can openly talk to, I would be honored to be that person for you. I look forward to working with you.
