Work With Me!

About this Service

Hi! My name is Carissa Alt-Frankard, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Southeastern Wisconsin. I have 9 years of experience working in the mental health field, ranging from in-home Applied Behavioral Analysis therapy for children on the Autism Spectrum, to case management for chronically homeless adults, to outpatient mental health therapy in a private practice setting. I earned my Masters Degree from Boston College in Mental Health Counseling in May of 2011. My experience includes working with individuals with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, relationship issues, disordered eating patterns, family conflict, parenting issues, and young adults transitioning into adulthood.

I would describe my approach as empathetic, goal oriented, and client centered. I combine the techniques of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to set goals for treatment and to empower my clients to make progress and growth in their lives.

I enjoy listening to and helping people make the growth and change they wish to see in their lives in a safe and non-judgmental environment. Everyone deserves to be heard and empowered in their life, and I would love the opportunity to be that support person to help you do so. I look forward to working with you collaboratively towards your goals!
