About this Service

Hello! I understand it can feel intimidating to begin the process of counseling. I applaud you for leaning toward the healing process to care for your overall health.

Life can be hard and I’m here to partner with you, encouraging you to share your thoughts and feelings in a safe and accepting environment. Using a person centered process can provide immense healing in a place of comfort and compassion. Being heard and understood can allow you the space to be open and honest about the struggles you face. This is your path to walk, but I will walk alongside you. You are not alone on this journey.

I received my Masters in Counseling/School Counseling from Western Michigan University with an undergraduate degree is in Behavioral Psychology. I have experience in individual and group therapy (of all ages) and have been in private practice since 2009. I counsel from a strengths based approach using a variety of theories that best fit the client including person-centered, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and mindfulness. My specialties are in anxiety, depression, family/teen/children issues, autism and life changes.

In my spare time I like to travel with my husband, camp and hike as much as possible and spend quality time with our children and grandchildren.
