About this Service
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, who has worked in the public health space for the last 10 years. Specifically, I’ve worked in mental health and reproductive health, as a therapist, program developer, and fundraiser. As a social worker, my skillset is being able to see the bigger picture, while also zooming in on all of life’s intricacies. As a mental health service provider, I specialize in an empathic approach, creating safe spaces, utilizing client-centered therapy, all while advocating for large scale justice within my community. I have experience working with adolescents as young as 13 years old, folks well into adulthood and later stages of life, as well as LGBTQ+ clients, folks living with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, substance use and misuse, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Anxiety (acute and panic disorder), Depression, couples, and families. As an advocate and therapist, I bring the importance of understanding structures of power to every session, focusing on how our environments and experiences shape us, and ultimately, how we grow in our power to shape ourselves and create environments that allow us to thrive.
My therapeutic style allows for adjustment as I meet clients where they are, understanding that some might appreciate more direction, while others prefer a tighter grip on the reins. I understand that some moments benefit from levity, while other moments need stillness and depth. Through it all, I uphold the value of vulnerability, walking alongside clients, building trust. I put my clients in the driver’s seat, as we unravel complicated feelings, traumas, and pain, in order to find peace, wholeness, and empowerment.
I believe that therapy is one of the greatest investments in ourselves that we can participate in. I applaud you in the first step to prioritizing your wellbeing. You deserve good things. You deserve to feel good. I look forward to an opportunity to participate with you in that journey!
